Subtitle editor for more control

I would like the ability to export srt files with more control than just characters or time for splitting the lines under the custom option. Providing the option of time breaks or sentences would be very helpful. What would be best it to be able to edit the the text and be able to tell the program exactly where I want the next line to begin. Have the ability to insert line breaks and then create the SRT based on line breaks.
