Missing word "um" in german transcription

In German, constructions with the word ‘um’ are used in some sentences. For example, in the sentence: ‘Um einen Fehler zu beheben’ the word is used and required.

During transcription, however, it is apparently recognised as a ‘filler word’ and is always deleted.
