Clickable timestamps

Timestamps in Transcript and Summary section should be clickable so we can listen that particular section rightaway.

Hi. It seems I was not able to explain it properly. So, for example, I have extracted the transcript of a YouTube video, and I am reading a specific part of it. Right now, if I want to listen to what the speaker has said, I have to scroll up and click on listen original and, from there, navigate through the video to reach that exact timestamp. So, if we can have URLs based on timestamps with the transcripts, it will make it more efficient to listen to the original and make changes to the transcript.

We don't store any audio or video files in our system once we finish with transcription job. So, it won't be possible to support listening at the moment.

Would you please reconsider or at least find a way to play the content in the browser? This is hugely impacting user flow and overall experience!

This is an example of the current process I go through from upload to end result - this only illustrates issues related to checking transcript against audio / video content.

      Example of Current Experience:

      1. Upload content / link and click create transcript.

      2. Wait 3-5 minutes for content to be created (in this time I close the content tab link OR the folder containing the file I uploaded)

      3. Switch back to Transcript.lol to see if content is ready.

      4. Open Transcript

NO OPTION TO PLAY STARTS TO CAUSE ISSUES

      5. Spend 30 seconds reading through the transcript to see if I can figure out who is Speaker 1, 2, etc.

      6. Give up and look for a way to play audio/video.

      7. Realise I can't do it in this window.

        • Option 1: Click "Listen Original" button to open link to content in new tab link opens content in new tab.

        • Option 2: Search through folders on my computer to relocate file (this can take up to 30 seconds).

          • Once file is located, I have to open content in another application to play.

      8. Switch back to browser / tab with Transcript.lol

      9. Try to click on Speaker 1 icon to edit.

      10. Remember I have to click edit transcript first, do that.

      11. Now click on Speaker 1 icon again to change name

      12. Repeat for other Speakers.

So as you can see even just getting to this point, is a lot of extra fumbling around steps that could definitely be cut out and vastly improve user experience.

But I want to proof the whole transcript.... and this is where the struggle really begins.

      13. Go back to window playing content to start it from the beginning

      14. Go back to Transcript.lol window and read through transcript

Now if you find an error:

      15. Go back to window playing content to click pause

      16. Go back to transcript.lol to make edit

      17. Go back to content playing window to click play / rewind 10 seconds because of initial delay caused by having to switch windows.

      18. Switch back to Transcript.lol to continue proofing.

And these steps cycle in a loop until the process is over.

I didn't write out this whole process to be difficult. I just wanted to illustrate what a hinderance not having this play in Transcript.lol causes, in the hope to help your team understand and hopefully prioritise adding this essential functionality to the software asap.

      Thank you :)
